1 MARTIE

Mărţişorul (1 martie) - sărbătoare tradiţională românească a primăverii, a prospeţimii, a bucuriei, a victoriei binelui împotriva răului.

In bratele tale am descoperit o lume noua… am gasit o alta definitie a fericirii… am invatat sa respir un alt aer… sa zambesc sub un alt cer…

As fi dorit sa-ti pot spune…

A Week Of Regret

First day I saw you
didn’t like your body
but looking in your eyes
put a thunder through me.
The second day I looked at you
in your dark eyes, burning charcoal,
a ray of hope I caught
losing its path toward infinity.
Third day I met you
you gently kissed my lips
I didn’t say a thing
something uncanny was hiding inside you.
The fourth day I saw you
warm shivers passing through me
all I wished then was the touch of your hands
so my lips would be free to whisper sweet words in your ear.
The fifth day I looked at you
your hand slowly reached around my waist
making my body vibrate
in waves of exhilarating particles.
Day six: I watched you
from a growing distance and a light tear
seemed diamond through the eyelids
making its way down the lines of my neck.
Day seven: no seeing you
mad rhythms my heart follows
struggling to escape my chest
and shout after you “I’m in love”.

Rabindranath Tagore

Rabindranath Tagore spunea:

* "Nu-ţi ofensa prietenul, împrumutându-i merite din buzunarul tău."

About Love...

Let this be my last word, that I trust in thy love...

We never can have a true view of man unless we have a love for him. Civilization must be judged and prized, not by the amount of power it has developed, but by how much it has evolved and given expression to, by its laws and institutions, the love of humanity. The first question and the last which it has to answer is whether and how far it recognizes man more as a spirit than a machine? Whenever some ancient civilization fell into decay and died, it was owing to causes which produced callousness of heart and led to the cheapening of man's worth; when either the state or some powerful group of men began to look upon the people as a mere instrument of their power; when, by compelling weaker races to slavery and trying to keep them down by every means, man struck at the foundation of his greatness, his own love of freedom and fair-play. Civilization can never sustain itself upon cannibalism of any form. For that by which alone man is true can only be nourished by love and justice.
* If you shed tears when you miss the sun, you also miss the stars.
* Your idol is shattered in the dust to prove that God's dust is greater than your idol.
* The roots below the earth claim no rewards for making the branches fruitful.
* Let this be my last word, that I trust in thy love.
* Ah me, why did they build my house by the road to the market town?
* I am restless. I am athirst for faraway things. My soul goes out in a longing to touch the skirt of the dim distance. O Great Beyond, O the keen call of thy flute! I forget, I ever forget, that I have no wings to fly, that I am bound in this spot evermore.
* We do not stray out of all words into the ever silent;
We do not raise our hands to the void for things beyond hope.
* Please is frail like a dewdrop, while it laughs it dies. But sorrow is strong and abiding. Let sorrowful love wake in your eyes.
* My heart, the bird of the wilderness, has found its sky in your eyes.
* Let your life lightly dance on the edges of Time like dew on the tip of a leaf.
* To the guests that must go, bid God's speed and brush away all traces of their steps.
* The wise man warns me that life is but a dewdrop on the lotus leaf.
* O Woman, you are not merely the handiwork of God, but also of men; these are ever endowing you with beauty from their own hearts. . . You are one-half woman and one-half dream.
* In the world's audience hall, the simple blade of grass sits on the same carpet with the sunbeams, and the stars of midnight.
* Who are you, reader, reading my poems an hundred years hence?
I cannot send you one single flower from this wealth of the spring, one single streak of gold from yonder clouds.
Open your doors and look abroad.
From your blossoming garden gather fragrant memories of the vanished flowers of an hundred years before.
In the joy of your heart may you feel the living joy that sang one spring morning, sending its glad voice across a hundred years.
* Beauty is in the ideal of perfect harmony which is in the universal being; truth the perfect comprehension of the universal mind. We individuals approach it through our own mistakes and blunders, through our accumulated experience, through our illumined consciousness— how, otherwise, can we know truth?
* Beauty is truth's smile when she beholds her own face in a perfect mirror.
* If you cry because the sun has gone out of your life, your tears will prevent you from seeing the stars
* If you shut the door to all errors, truth will be shut out.
Variant: If you shut your door to all errors truth will be shut out.
* In Art, man reveals himself and not his objects.
* In love all the contradiction of existence merge themselves and are lost. Only in love are unity and duality not at variance. Love must be one and two at the same time. Only love is motion and rest in one. Our heart ever changes its place till it finds love, and then it has its rest... Bondage and liberation are not antagonistic in love, for love is most free and at the same time most bound.
* In love, at one of its poles you find the personal, at the other the impersonal. At one you have the positive assertion— Here I am; at the other the equally strong denial— I am not. Without this ego what is love? And again, with only this ego how can love be possible?

What is the secret of true love?

The Secret of True love

Before we can discuss the secret to true love, you must understand that true love is a gift that has to be valued and nurished. It's not something that you find one day like a beautiful seashell on a beach and put it up somewhere to be admired. True love is a part of life that has a life of its own. Value and nurish it, and it will grow and become deeper and more valuable. Find it, give it no value and forget to nurish it, and it will die. Simple as that.

The first secret to true love is knowing when you have found the love of your life, your other half, the one who is more important to you than even yourself, the one your entire being tells you is the one for you. That may happen one day when you look across a room and meet the eyes of her or him, your eyes lock and your heart jumps, and the eyes you are looking into tell you that the same is happening on the other side of that gaze. It could also happen when you are out with someone that you have dated casually for months, but never really felt much of anything for. Suddenly, one night, your heart could leap as your eyes meet or your lips touch. Knowing you have found true love might be just a quiet knowing that the person is the one for you. It happens differently for different people.
After meeting your true love, the secret to keeping the love alive is to unselfishly put the other person before yourself and communicate with that person in a positive and open manner. Many great relationships have lost their pizazz due to mistakes of one or both becoming selfish and not communicating with the other. Even those who have found their true loves have lost them because of the hurt and disappointment caused when the love of your life's actions and words say "you don't matter," "I'm for me first," and similar things.

When two people find true love and each puts the other's hopes, dreams, desires, and feelings above their own and communicates in such a way as to build the other up and share their innermost thoughts, beautiful things happen! The true love that was found grows into something more beautiful than a rose, deeper than the deepest ocean, and stronger than anything imaginable. Anything less than being unselfish, putting the other before yourself, and great communication and it's tough for even true love to survive.

DRAGOBETE

Dragobete is a traditional Romanian holiday originating from Dacian times and celebrated on February, the 24th. Specifically, Dragobete was the son of Baba Dochia, which stands for the main character in the pagan myth related to spring arrival and the end of the harsh winter.
The day is particularly known as "the day when the birds are betrothed". It is around this time that the birds begin to build their nests and mate. On this day, considered locally the first day of spring, boys and girls gather vernal flowers and sing together. Maidens used to collect the snow that still lies on the ground in many villages and then melt it, using the water in magic potions throughout the rest of the year. Those who take part in Dragobete customs are supposed to be protected from illness, especially fevers, for the rest of the year. If the weather allows, girls and boys pick snowdrops or other early spring plants for the person they are courting. In Romania, Dragobete is known as a day for lovers, rather like Valentine's Day.
It is a common belief in some parts of Romania that, during this celebration, if you step over your partner's foot, you will have the dominant role in your relationship. Dragobete customs vary from region to region.
In neighboring Bulgaria, the custom of stepping over one's partner's feet traditionally takes place during weddings, and with the same purpose, but it is not believed to be connected to Dragobete.

Dragobete is also known as being the day of lovers for Romanians.
